Tyra Banks had a show on racial stereotyping, which allowed people to give their staged honest opinions about different ethnic groups and stereotypes that they feel based on their appearance.
How many of you are willing to be honest about stereotypes that you hold as “truth” regarding other ethnic groups, based on things you’ve heard, ill perception, past experiences, etc? No judgments…just post your stereotypes and why you feel that way, especially if you’ve had a specific experience that causes you to feel the way you do!

Twitter was abuzz after Wale premiered his video for his song, Pretty Girls, on BET’s 106th and Park. I didn’t get to see it when everyone else did but the major complaint seemed to be that that the pretty girls featured throughout the video were all light skinned. But before you guys get your panties in a bunch, LaShawnna Stanley, who owns the popular and well respected modeling agency, Ethnicity Models, had this to say:

Man, before I even go IN, let me offer the disclaimer that I am, have been and probably always will be an Usher fan (even though I feel that all the material I’ve heard from his upcoming album sucks major ass cleavage). However, I’m not so much of a fan that I can’t separate the good from the bad or the right from the wrong.
And U-Turn was all wrong! U-Turn was a song from the 8701 album. Although I can’t say that I every really bypassed it (like I did that dreadful U R the One song) but I always thought that the lyrics made the dance SOUND confusing. As I was about to turn Twitter on to the song (since apparently they forgot), I found this gem! I NEVER knew that Ush had a video for this sh*t. REALLY? I’m even more confused. Lawd…consider this a throwback!
PS: THIS is the Usher I came to appreciate. Do you guys see the freestyling that he was doing BEFORE demonstrating that simpleton dance? Yes…we need THAT Usher back!

How many of you caught the reunion show last night for For the Love of Ray J? I missed the first half of it but from what I’m hearing, it didn’t matter b/c the REAL drama happened during about the last 10-15 minutes of the show. So you’ll know what the above video is all about, here’s the skinny. Mz Berry was asked by the host when was the last time she saw Ray J, to which she replied 5 months. Then, they call Cocktail out on the set, who says that she found it “odd” that Mz Berry hadn’t seen Ray when she saw him the day AFTER the final show! Well, Ray J comes out and has words with Cocktail and ends up walking off the stage, all while calling Cocktail a b*tch. The argument continues on backstage and the above footage shows what went down.

WHO DAT!! I don’t even sound right saying that sh*t, especially since I JUST found out (by a white woman in her 50s at that) what the hell WHO DAT meant! #kanyeshrug Anyway, here’s the latest Got Milk ad campaign featuring Reggie Bush. That man is all types of sexy…in the face. Call me a weird chick but I’m not attracted to muscular bodies. Am I alone in this? Eh…post your thoughts on the photo!
I don’t know if it’s my janky ass internet or if this dude, Niko Love, really thought that it was a good idea to upload this song/video while out of sync. There’s so many things I could say but instead, I’ll throw some glitter.
And did he say that he would be over in 5 minutes, after he took a bath and threw on some clothes? Somebody ain’t gonna wash too well…

In a rare moment, Beyonce was spotted waving to cameras and fans from the balcony of her Fasano Hotel room! Rarely do we get a chance to see Bey just relaxed…in what looks like pajamas at that! Gotta love it! Raise your hand if you’re light weight hating on her tiny belly! Enjoy the flicks!
Meanwhile, you guys have got to check out the website for Fasano. The views are ridiculously amazing and if you’re lucky enough to be a guest there, you’ll definitely be living like a celeb. It’s not for those pinching pennies though. A single room with a superior courtyard view could go for a minimum of $470 per night, with the deluxe suites starting at about $2600! The hotel is sold out for the month of February, just in case you were wondering!

I didn’t get the opportunity to catch this commercial when it originally aired but thanks to Melanie, I was able to check it out. She also included a letter that she asked that I share with you guys and get your thoughts on:
Miss Jia
I know that you said on Twitter that you missed the superbowl, which would have also included the hilarious commercials that most people look forward to every year. I wanted to send you the Doritos commercial that aired last night to get your opinion on it, as well as the opinions of your readers.
Although I found the commercial to be hilarious, I also felt that it was laced with several stereotypes:
-single Black female with a child
-Black male, overly sexed/perverted (booty watching)
-bad ass/unruly kid
Maybe I’m overthinking it but do you think that this commercial would have been as funny…or as effective…if it featured white, hispanic or even asian actors? Hmm…what do you think?
I didn’t look at it that way. What say you guys? Is she correct or digging a bit too deep? Post your thoughts on this HILARIOUS commercial as well!

Alright, so I was out of the building when this Beyonce commercial aired during the superbowl! I literally broke my neck trying to find it, only to find that I was hoodwinked! Bey was in it long enough to wow us in her red dress, crump for all of .03992 seconds, and she was gone. I mean, they LITERALLY pushed her off the screen on some #ontothenextone type sh*t. I’m annoyed.
Nonetheless, check out the photos of Queen Bey performing in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She looks great and the CLOSE up shot gives me life! But as Bey-friendly as I am, I have to post the real. Check below for a video of her almost catching an L during her performance. Love how she played it off! Post your thoughts!

Dear Dear Miss Jia,
I really love your site! I have been following you for a couple years now, first through Youtube. I think that everyone loves your realness and hopefully you can provide me with some realness on this issue.
A couple weeks ago, Necole Bitchie posted a blog entry where Misa Hylton-Brim, the mother of Diddy’s first son, Justin, talks about Kim Porter’s lack of acceptance to Diddy’s ATL baby mama, Sarah Chapman (who has a daughter by him named Chance).
“Sarah is really sweet but Sarah and Kim don’t get along. I get along with everyone. With both of them. Kim and I go back for years now. We were friends at one point. I was like “you wanted him, you got him now baby“. So she’s gotta go through all the bs I had to go through back in the day.
Sarah has been around as long as Kim, alot of people don’t know that. Puffy was cheating on me with both of them. This is over 15-16 years ago so we’ve all been around a long time. I joke around sometimes and say “They are like my sister-wives.” I try to keep everything good and we want Kim to accept Chance but she’s not ready yet………but I accepted Christian.
Well, Blackarazzi caught up with Kim out in Hollywood and her response? “I don’t want to respond to anything Misa could ever say. She’s not even on my level.” OUCH!!
